Tara grew up in Huntsville, Alabama. She graduated from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Social Work. Following graduation, she began working at the Jackson County Department of Human Resources. Tara graduated from the University of Alabama with a Master’s of Social Work in August, 2020.
Tara provides individual therapeutic services for child-victims at the CAC and assesses, evaluates and addresses the clients emotional and psychological needs. She provides therapy for children alleged to be sexually or severely physically abused and who have been exposed to traumatic events. She works closely and effectively with multidisciplinary team members and actively participates in team meetings and peer review. Tara served at the Jackson County CAC during her internship and enjoyed the rewarding fulfillment so much that she chose to come on staff. Tara is married and enjoys traveling, hiking, and working puzzles.
